Description

SUMMARY:

Walker E is UBTECH’s flagship research‑grade humanoid robot, designed for embodied AI, dexterous manipulation, and high‑mobility service tasks.

It features 42 degrees of freedom, 7‑DOF arms, 6‑DOF dexterous hands, 3‑DOF head, and can walk or run at ~7 km/h.

Walker E is deployed in research labs, universities, and advanced service‑robotics pilots, including Japan Airlines’ airport trials.

EDITORIAL:

Walker E is UBTECH’s most advanced humanoid platform — a shift from consumer robots to full‑scale embodied‑intelligence systems.

Its 6‑DOF hands with 6‑axis force sensors allow fine manipulation tasks rarely seen in commercial humanoids: opening bottles, pouring liquids, writing, and precise object placement.

The robot’s dual hot‑swappable battery system and full‑body air‑duct cooling support long research sessions without overheating, making it a practical platform for VLA (vision‑language‑action) research.

Walker E is one of the few humanoids with LLM/VLM‑ready interfaces, positioning it as a strong competitor in the embodied‑AI research space.
