Description

SUMMARY:

The RobotEra Q5 is a wheeled humanoid service robot engineered for retail, hospitality, healthcare, tourism, and research.

It stands 165 cm, weighs 70 kg, and features:

- 44 total degrees of freedom

- 11‑DoF XHAND Lite (“Fairy Hands”) dexterous manipulators

- 10 kg single‑arm payload

- 2 m/s omnidirectional wheeled mobility

- ERA‑42 VLA embodied‑AI model (same as L7)

- LiDAR + stereo vision fusion navigation

- Full‑body teleoperation + autonomous modes

Q5 is known for its “tiny‑waisted” ultra‑humanoid design, expressive motion, and high‑precision manipulation.

EDITORIAL:

RobotEra’s Q5 is one of the most deployment‑ready service humanoids in China’s 2025–2026 lineup.

Unlike bipedal robots (L7, Star1), Q5 uses a wheeled base to maximize:

- uptime

- stability

- payload

- safety in crowded indoor environments

Its 44‑DoF body and 11‑DoF hands give it near‑human expressiveness, enabling tasks such as:

- guided tours

- reception & concierge work

- object delivery

- healthcare assistance

- retail interaction

- shoe polishing, folding quilts, pressing elevator buttons

The Q5 is already deployed in Beijing Century Golden Resources Mall, Chengdu Panda Base, and in partnerships with Haier and Lenovo.

The “Tiny‑Waisted Pro” design—narrower than an iPhone—was highlighted in Yahoo Finance for its humanlike silhouette and emotional‑AI interaction.
