SUMMARY:
Codroid 02 is a heavy‑duty humanoid robot developed by Estun Codroid, designed for industrial automation, precision manipulation, and collaborative factory workflows.
It features 31–44 degrees of freedom, 7‑DoF arms, 6‑DoF legs, and 6‑DoF dexterous hands, with a dual‑arm payload of 10 kg and single‑arm payload of 5 kg.
Standing 170 cm tall and weighing 70 kg, Codroid 02 uses Estun’s fully in‑house developed integrated joint modules, offering high torque density, low noise, and long service life.
Codroid 02 is built for real industrial environments, supporting Modbus, RS485, EtherCAT, voice interaction, head + chest cameras, and secondary development.
EDITORIAL:
Codroid 02 is one of the most mature industrial humanoids coming out of China’s robotics sector.
Unlike research‑oriented humanoids, Codroid 02 is engineered for factory‑floor reliability, with:
- rigid joint modules for high load capacity
- quasi‑direct‑drive actuators for fast response
- IP54‑class industrial protection (inferred from industrial‑protocol sensor design)
- fast/slow embodied‑AI architecture for real‑time control and high‑level reasoning
The robot’s fast system uses a Flow Matching Policy for low‑latency motion control, while the slow system uses a Vision‑Language Model (VLM) for scene understanding and task planning.
This dual‑loop architecture is one of the most advanced in any industrial humanoid today.
Codroid 02 is built for production line inspection, material handling, precision assembly, and multi‑robot collaboration, making it a strong competitor to Unitree H1, Fourier GR‑1, and UBTech Walker S in the industrial humanoid category.
