Description

Summary:

LG CLOiD is LG Electronics’ first full humanoid robot designed for home automation, connected‑appliance control, and physical AI. It debuted at CES 2026 as the centerpiece of LG’s Zero Labor Home initiative, demonstrating cooking, laundry handling, dish unloading, and full ThinQ ecosystem integration.

EDITORIAL:

CLOiD is LG’s most ambitious robotics project to date — a shift from wheeled service bots to a true humanoid capable of performing real household tasks. Unlike many humanoids that focus on locomotion or industrial strength, CLOiD is built around Physical AI, LG’s term for robots that understand the home, manipulate appliances, and execute chores autonomously.

Its power comes from integration: CLOiD connects deeply with the LG ThinQ ecosystem, allowing it to coordinate laundry cycles, cooking routines, and dishwashing tasks with the appliances themselves. This makes CLOiD less of a standalone robot and more of a central nervous system for the smart home.

In a market full of prototypes, CLOiD stands out because it’s designed for daily life, not demos.
