Description

 SUMMARY

Galaxea R1 is a full‑size dual‑arm humanoid robot developed by Galaxea Dynamics, featuring a 2‑meter vertical operating range, 14‑DoF dual arms, a 4‑DoF torso, and a 6‑DoF omnidirectional chassis. It is designed for manipulation, mobile robotics research, AI development, and industrial R&D.The robot includes head, wrist, and chassis cameras, plus 360° LiDAR, making it a high‑perception humanoid platform.

EDITORIAL

R1 is Galaxea’s wheeled humanoid manipulator, bridging the gap between traditional mobile robots and full humanoids. Its dual‑arm design and AI‑ready sensor suite make it ideal for embodied AI experiments, while the omnidirectional chassis ensures mobility in tight industrial spaces.Compared to Galaxea’s later Kengo bipedal humanoid, R1 is more of a research and R&D platform than a consumer‑facing humanoid.
