Description

SUMMARY:

FF Futurist is a full‑size professional humanoid robot developed by Faraday Future as part of its new Embodied AI (EAI) robotics division.

It is designed for real‑world workplace assistance, customer interaction, event hosting, and professional service roles, featuring 40 degrees of freedom, 7‑DOF hands, 500 Nm peak joint torque, and a 200 TOPS NVIDIA Jetson Orin compute platform.

The robot integrates 3D LiDAR, RGB‑D cameras, fisheye vision, tactile sensing, and LLM‑based multimodal interaction supporting ~50 languages.

Although branded as a U.S. robot, the hardware is OEM‑manufactured by AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics) and re‑skinned with Faraday Future’s software and ecosystem layer.

EDITORIAL:

FF Futurist is Faraday Future’s attempt to pivot from struggling EV production into the booming humanoid robotics market.

The robot is essentially a white‑labeled AgiBot A2 platform, enhanced with FF’s Embodied Intelligence software layer and U.S.‑based support.

Its strength lies in:

- High‑end perception (LiDAR + RGB‑D + fisheye + tactile)

- Strong joint torque (up to 500 Nm)

- Professional‑grade interaction

- Customizable skins for brand activations

- VR teleoperation + 4G/5G connectivity

It is a professional interaction robot built for front‑of‑house roles, workplace assistance, and brand‑facing environments, not industrial manipulation or advanced locomotion.
